Independence Day FireworksIf you are wondering if visiting Loganville this summer is a good idea, the simple answer is yes. There are plenty of events scheduled this year to entertain visitors and locals alike, including summer festivals, culinary events, and music events. No matter if you are visiting for a long weekend or would prefer taking a longer break, you will find plenty to see, taste, and do near Loganville.

Independence Celebration

If you happen to spend Independence Day in Loganville, you can take part in the parade and march featuring military vehicles, tractors, and local groups. Kids will enjoy watching the march and listening to the live music, and live bands will entertain the crowd. Vendors will offer refreshments and snacks and sweets. The parade starts at 9.30 p.m. and goes on late. The march starts next to theĀ American Legion Post on the field. You can park your car at the Kroger or Ingles shopping centers.

Groovin’ the Green

The concert series is held every Friday during the summer on the Town Green of Loganville and features different artists, including Too Much Sylvia, Dozers, and Phil Dirt. Concerts are free, and food and drink booths are available. The concert starts at 7 p.m. and all are welcome. Sit back, catch up with friends, enjoy a drink, and listen to live music in the shade. Hats & Heels Benefit Brunch, Lawrenceville

For this event, you will need to wear your hats or heels to enjoy a friendly atmosphere, great food, and support the Hands of Grace charity. The event is held at the Grace Family International Church, and tickets cost $20-$35. The proceeds go towards supporting people less fortunate through medical aid, clothing, and family assistance. The organization runs orphanages in Ghana, Jamaica, and Haiti. Go along and enjoy the community spirit of Lawrenceville, connect with like-minded people and help a good cause.

Christmas in July

You can enjoy Christmas in the middle of summer on the 29th of July, meet Santa and get gifts. It’s a great day out with the kids to celebrate the spirit of Christmas. This fun-filled event includes craft activities, presentations, games, and much more.

Taste of the Kingdom 2017

The annual food tasting event features various chefs, bakers, and restaurants who bring their creations to this annual fundraising and sales festival. You can buy taste tickets and try different varieties of bread, pastry, pies, and local dishes. The event is held Aug. 19 at theĀ First Baptist Church Pavilion in Stone Mountain. You can get a ticket for 10 tastes for only $10. A children’s value band costs $5.

No matter if you are interested in music, community events, food, or marches, Loganville and the surrounding towns have plenty to offer this summer for little kids and big ones.
